Renzo Zeppilli, a Natural Habitat Adventures Expedition Leader in Peru, brings a sense of wonder to every journey, from the rivers and rainforests of the Amazon to the heights of the Andes. Growing up, he split his time between the capital city of Lima and his family’s ranch, where he delighted in learning about the various types of livestock, eventually expanding his interest to the wild animals of his homeland. It was Renzo’s love for wildlife—especially birds—that shaped his path to becoming an Expedition Leader. His early fascination with free-flying creatures sparked a lifelong quest to explore and protect Peru’s rich biodiversity. A veteran of the country's turbulent history, Renzo now channels his energy into guiding with joy, curiosity and reverence for nature. Whether spotting sloths, monkeys and macaws in the rainforest or gazing over ancient Incan ruins in the Sacred Valley, Renzo helps travelers feel as free as the birds he adores.
